The Story So Far

TDV is a digital media and communications company. It was founded in 1994 to take advantage of the convergence of digital media to create online communities around our entertainment and information brands. We believe that such brand building will lie at the heart of convergence in a digital economy.

Founder members include Douglas Adams.

TDV has already moved twice in its life and is now happily based in Covent Garden in London's West End, where it employs over forty people.

April 1999 saw the birth of h2g2 - the Earth Edition of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, offering unconventional wisdom to the world. The site launched on BBC 1's Tomorrow's World and to date we have registered over 33,000 researchers who are actively contributing information on life, the universe and everything.

In April 1998, we successfully launched our first major product, Douglas Adams's Starship Titanic, establishing TDV's reputation for innovation, intelligence, and imagination.

Producing a range of entertainment brands, TDV has as its core a top-quality programming, writing, design and editorial team. The company's job is to provide a home for very able people where they can do great work.
